Oh yeah, also when I was racing Ryo, the dude is literally the "showdown king" but he kept totaling his own car several times. so kinda frustrating - however Aki Kumara was a breeze, kept scoring 5k+ in those drift events. It feels so "on the rails" and it's easy to lock up, I had to do that one drift race in Showdown Tokyo when you are facing Ryo Watanabe like 30 times before I could beat him - then I started learning more about the drifting in this game and learnt the handbrake trick where you can hold your car position by holding handbrake and the points will still rack up fast, I literally beat Ryo by 100 points in those drift events. The only thing I probably hate about this game is the drifting, the drifting is the only thing that irritates me sometimes. The OST is literally fire, it's so good and a lot of catchy tracks. The shifting in this game is still in my opinion the best in whole NFS franchise, something about it - is so satisfying combined with the aggressive and loud car sounds. My favourite is when I'm doing drag racing, I launch off the line and the announcer screams "Woooo!", Small things like that I absolutely enjoy. I enjoy the whole atmosphere and theme of the game and the announcers bring so much life into the game, all the comments they make, the compliments etc. Sure there's no cops and street racing, instead you have serious trackday racing with kings. The input lag remover, once applied - changes things completely and I felt so much more in control of my car! I love it and it also makes gameplay for force feedback steering wheels better.Īs for the game, it's an underrated gem and it's up there as one of my favourite Need For Speed games. The problem with this is that it makes the handling delayed and not so easy to control. As you know, ProStreet is known to have the heavy, boaty handling which is meant to be realistic however BlackBox added a 1 second timer to the steering to make it seem even more realistic so that 1 second is supposed to be the time it takes to physically turn the steering wheel.
